Stop Excessive Facial Sweating

Before looking for ways to reduce facial sweating, it is very important to understand why facial sweating occurs in the first place; there are minor sweating glands under the skin that react to changes in diet, climate or simple hormonal changes in the body. Usually, these sweating glands produce around 1 to 1.5 pints of water per day – if your face is sweating more than that, only then should you consider facial sweating a problem.

Quick Tips:

  • The first thing that you can do reduce excessive facial sweating is to improve your diet; try not to take too many candies, chocolates or other sweet food items right before going to sleep or after waking up. These substances increase the metabolism rate of the body, producing excessive energy, which is channeled out of the body by excess sweating. Even if you have taken too much of sweet food items, you should take a walk or involve in some sort of psychical activity instead of directly going to the bed; that way your body will be able to regulate the energy being produced.
  • Do not eat too much on a daily basis; have balanced diet with proper quantities of fibers, vitamins and minerals. Take in loads of water so that you do not dehydrate as a result to excessive sweating; along with this make sure that you maintain the levels of salt in your body so that even if you are sweating, your body has the necessary minerals required for its well being.
  • Smoking or intake of caffeine in the form of coffee cause some people to suffer from excessive sweating as well. Therefore, you can try and cut down on your intake of coffee and cigarettes to see if they are culprits for your facial sweating.
  • You can also use effective and natural face powder to try reducing facial sweating; powder tends to absorb the sweat from pores and can be effective in this way.

Other Methods:

There are another two ways you can stop excessive sweating. One way is surgical while the other is not. Most people would prefer the natural and non-surgical methods to stop sweating.

  • You can ask your doctor or dermatologist about Botox as a way to beat sweat. These injections use Botulinum toxin, which allows the muscles of the face to relax and reduce facial sweating. However, this may not be a workable solution to facial sweating for everyone; normally only if the sweating occurs on the forehead and other smaller areas can you use Botox.
  • If you consult a dermatologist, they might even suggest some oral medications that will help reduce the activity of the sweat glands around your facial area, which can help you stop sweating. However, first you should definitely help determine the cause of your excessive sweating before trying to beat sweat.

Once application of this particular antiperspirant wipe can last up to 7 days without reapplying.
